The Friends of Ellington is a group of which you will automatically become a member when your child starts school. The group organises many successful events during the year to raise vital funds for the school and to provide an opportunity for parents/carers, children and teachers to meet socially. If you wish to join the group, you will be gladly welcomed. We hope that you will support your child and the school by being an active member.
Back in 2021 when Mr Hodgson joined Ellington, some members of staff and the PTA gave up their time on Saturdays to come into school and take on a grounds project. They repaired and painted fences, re-painted yard markings, fixed raised beds and planted new plants donated from B & Q, along with a wide range of other jobs.
The PTA organised an amazing summer fair in July 2022, 2023 and 2024 which involved the whole community. They also raised funds through the incredible Christmas Grand raffle.
In September 2024, we renamed our PTA as The Friends of Ellington. A number of long serving PTA members had children moving onto Secondary Schools and a new group of parents joined together.
This academic year, we have had a Christmas Grand Raffle, a Valentine's Disco and also have planned an Easter Egg Trail around Ellington as well as another huge Summer Fair!
We would love parents/carers/grandparents to come along and get involved with Ellington Primary!
